Kendall Jenner’s former beau Blake Griffin reaches child support and custody settlement with ex Brynn Cameron

Their split had turned nasty. But it looks like Blake Griffin and ex Brynn Cameron have finally reached an agreement.

The NBA star and his baby mamma struck a child support and custody deal right before they were due to go to court, TMZ reported.

The former couple share two children — son Ford and daughter Finley, aged five and two — and were due to get married last year, but the relationship ended, right before he started dating Kendall Jenner

The terms of the settlement are confidential; while reports claim the Detroit Pistons player agreed to hand over $258,000 per month, sources claim this figure is incorrect, but the sum is ‘significant.’

They also agreed to co-parent the children, and are committed to doing so in a friendly manner for their sake.

Griffin is currently dating swimwear designer Francesca Aiello.

He had previously attempted to have the palimony lawsuit lodged against him by his former fiancee to be thrown out of court.

The 29-year-old had denied he agreed to financially support his ex, who specifically named Jenner in her lawsuit.

Cameron tore into the NBA star in a lawsuit filed on Valentine’s Day, claiming that he abandoned his family for a romance with Jenner.

Brynn Cameron is taking the former Los Angeles Clippers player to court, claiming he is refusing to provide financial support for her and their children.

Cameron and Blake, who was recently traded to the Detroit Pistons, met nine years ago, had two children together and were engaged, but the athlete called off the wedding last year and set his sights on 22-year-old catwalk model Jenner.

The 31-year-old blasted her ex in the suit, claiming he ‘abandoned his family because he cared more about the glamour of being a Hollywood celebrity than being a father and family man’, according to court papers obtained by DailyMail.com.

Cameron went a step further and claimed Griffin is a heartless cad who is ‘cruelly embarrassing his family with his public fawning over Kendall Jenner.’

Although the exact amount Cameron was suing for was unclear, she no doubt wanted a chunk of Griffin’s fortune, as he inked a $173 million contract in June.

According to the lawsuit, filed by high-powered celebrity lawyer Bryan Freedman, Griffin made repeated pledges to Cameron, promising to support her after insisting she abandon her sports marketing job and interior design business.

The suit, obtained by DailyMail.com, says Cameron did everything for her ex.

In 2013, at Griffin’s insistence, Cameron agreed to leave her career behind and dedicate her life to raising their son full time and support his career in basketball.

The suit states that the following July, the pair moved in together and the couple orally agreed that Cameron would not continue working in order to raise their children and support Griffin’s career with the Clippers.

The paperwork states: ‘Cameron not only took on the traditional duties of a wife but also those of personal assistant, meal planner, scheduler, stylist, publicist, party planner, nurse, nutritionist, branding expert, therapist, cheerleader, basketball and fitness consultant, and more.’

In her suit, Cameron handed over love notes signed by ‘Blakey’ to her, thanking her for her support and ‘all of the sacrifices’ she has made for him and their children.

Cameron claims that as part of their agreement they would combine their earnings and would share any and all property.

Griffin, the suit states, also promised he would ‘take care’ of Cameron financially and provide her a home for the rest of her life.

The suit also claims she counseled Griffin on how to deal with bad blood between him and Clippers teammate Chris Paul, claiming she advised him on how to be a better leader in the team’s locker room when he was being shown up by Paul.

She says the two had ‘mounting tension’ between them because he felt it was no longer his team – it was Paul’s.

The note continued: ‘You are the person I want to be with for the rest of my life… I can’t imagine having to go through life without you, cole ford and finn by my side’

According to the lawsuit: ‘[Cameron] strengthened Griffin’s bond with his teammates and allowed the organization to see a different side of his personality rather than the hard-partying man-child Griffin had been prior to their cohabitation.’

The couple had even planned a small wedding for the weekend of July 28, 2017, in St Barth’s.

But only a month prior to the ceremony Griffin demanded Cameron enter into a written prenuptial agreement which sparked friction in their relationship.

The suit states the agreement ‘contradicted’ their prior oral agreement, including ‘denying her meaningful support and her share of their property in the event of a divorce.’

Cameron stood firm and the wedding was postponed with one week’s notice.

Griffin notified guests, emailing: ‘Brynn and I take this commitment to each other seriously and want to ensure it is done in the right way.’

But the suit adds: ‘To demonstrate how “seriously” he was taking the commitment to Cameron, Griffin immediately embarked on a high-profile affair with Jenner. The next weekend, on what would have been his wedding day, he was partying in Las Vegas.’

The suit states Griffin and Cameron entered couple’s therapy after the wedding was postponed, but in or about August 2017, after ‘humiliating his family by spending a very public weekend with Jenner in the Hamptons when he told Cameron he would be in Oklahoma’, Griffin broke it off.

The suit states that Griffin breached the oral agreement denying her financial support.

‘As of January 2018, Cameron and their children are homeless and cash-strapped. Cameron has been forced to rely on her brother for financial support,’ it says.

Griffin, on the other hand, is earning more than $200 million between his NBA contract and endorsement deals.

The suit states that after the couple met, Cameron helped Griffin navigate his first years out of college and as a rookie at The Clippers, and was there offering support when he suffered a serious injury.

‘They bonded over their passion for basketball, but they got to know each other outside of their athletic accomplishments,’ it says.

Then in November 2012, Cameron who already had a young son from a previous relationship, became pregnant with her and Griffin’s first child, Ford.

The suit states that Griffin feared news of the pregnancy could receive negative media so insisted it be kept secret so that he could ‘focus on basketball’.

Cameron put Griffin’s career and needs first and hid the pregnancy from the public and from family and friends.

But, the suit states: ‘Griffin showed no interest in being part of the baby’s life, even after Cameron informed him the baby might potentially have health issues.’

After Ford was born on August 1, 2013, Cameron was back at work just a week later.

But, according to the suit, Griffin asked Cameron to quit her job and raise Ford instead of a nanny, he promised her she would never have to worry about money.

Then on September 12, 2016, the couple’s second child, Finley, was born and Cameron continued being the children’s primary caregiver and between 2014-2017 the couple ‘held themselves out as a married couple’, the paperwork states.

It added: ‘Cameron and Griffin frequently discussed marriage but agreed that, since they already felt married, additional paperwork was not necessary to make their relationship official.’

Griffin finally proposed, however, in February, 2017 and Cameron accepted.

‘Cameron was not just the mother of Griffin’s children and their caregiver. She was also a constant support for Griffin,’ the suit states.

But things began to crumble as the wedding date neared and Griffin went to Vegas on his wedding day.

‘Cameron began to catch Griffin telling lies about his whereabouts. Cameron then discovered, along with tabloid media readers, that Griffin had embarked on a high profile affair with Jenner,’ the suit states.

It added that the star failed to turn up to his daughter’s second birthday party on September 12, 2017, with news photographs showing him, instead, enjoying a trip to New York with Jenner.

Cameron summed it up, saying, ‘Griffin abandoned his family because he cared more about the glamour of being a Hollywood celebrity than being a father and family man.’

Cameron is a former basketball player at the University of Southern California and also has a child with NFL player and Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart.

The two dated for a year before they split up at the conclusion of Leinart’s senior season and soon afterwards she discovered she was pregnant with his child.

Griffin and Cameron met, according to the suit, in September 2009, when she was just beginning her career as a sideline reporter for ABC Sports.

The father of her oldest son is former NFL quarterback Matt Leinart whom she dated in school, and split from aged 19 before finding out she was pregnant.
