Theresa M. Troupson is a litigator with an emphasis on business litigation, intellectual property, entertainment, and real estate. Theresa has extensive experience in managing disputes from start to finish, including pleadings, discovery, law and motion practice, dispute resolution, and trial preparation. Theresa has represented clients ranging from individuals, including high-profile and high net worth clients, to small businesses to publicly owned and international companies.

Theresa graduated as a Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholar with a degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. She graduated from New York University School of Law as a Robert McKay Scholar. In law school, she was a two-time finalist in the Orison S. Marden Moot Court Competition and a winner of the Albert Podell Oral Advocacy Award, as well as a senior executive editor of the New York University Law Review. Her student note, “Yes, It’s Illegal to Cheat a Paywall: Access Rights and the DMCA’s Anticircumvention Provision,” was published in the New York University Law Review.

Theresa has been named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine for five consecutive years, starting in 2020 through 2024, an honor reserved for only 2.5% of Southern California’s lawyers.
